By using Independence Engine you agree to these terms. Our Refund Policy and Privacy / Delete my data pages are part of how we do business.
Independence Engine provides migration and lock-in assessment services for codebases. We deliver migrations as reviewable pull requests and do not auto-merge or deploy changes. You are responsible for the repos and data you provide; we use them only to perform the service you requested, as described in our Confidentiality & NDA.
Independence Engine generates migration reports and pull request proposals based on automated analysis. We do not guarantee that output will be error-free, merge-ready, or suitable for production without review. You are responsible for reviewing all generated changes before applying them.
You confirm that you have the legal right to provide access to the repositories and data submitted to the service. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your repositories and environments before running migrations.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Independence Engine will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the applicable service.
You retain ownership of your code and repositories. Independence Engine does not claim ownership over user-submitted content.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access in cases of abuse, misuse, fraud, or violation of these terms.
